Information for mySchool Online parents on optional return to brick and mortar

Niceville.comSeptember 28, 20201 Min Read

NICEVILLE, Fla — The Okaloosa County School District is asking parents to decide by October 9 whether their children will attend school in person during the next term.

The second nine weeks begins Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Parents who wish for their student(s) to return to the school building for the second nine weeks are asked to call their school no later than Friday, October 9, states a release by the school district.

The school district will use the time between October 9 and the start of the second nine weeks to plan for and implement any teacher changes needed to accommodate student movement. In some cases, this may result in the reassignment of teachers back into the school building and the changing of online teachers. We will work to keep teacher changes to a minimum, the release said.

Families who plan to continue with the mySchool Online program for the rest of the semester do not need to take any action. Students who don’t return to the school building at the nine weeks are expected to remain in the mySchool Online program until the end of the first semester in January.

For more information, please contact your school.
