Students attending Plew brought in their loose change as part of CIC’s Change for Children program, and teachers at the school encouraged participation through competitions between grade levels.

Students at Plew Elementary School in Niceville recently raised over $4,000 to benefit two community organizations that help children in need, Children in Crisis (CIC) and Harvest Hands.

“At the same time, we were bringing in money for our Harvest Hands which provides weekend meals to our students in need,” said Carolyn McAllister, principal of Plew Elementary School.  “So, a little over $4,000 was raised and split between CIC and Harvest Hands.”

Each organization received a check for $2092.33.
