2025 Concerts in the Village to feature tributes, classics, and cheese

DESTIN, Fla. — The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) has announced the 2025 lineup for Concerts in the Village, its annual spring concert series held Thursday evenings under the stars at the Dugas Pavilion at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin.

The outdoor series runs from April 10 through June 12. Gates open at 6 p.m., and all concerts begin at 7 p.m. General admission is lawn seating. Attendees are encouraged to bring low-back beach chairs or blankets and enjoy food from featured local food trucks.

This season’s full lineup includes:

April 10: The Fabulous Thunderbirds – The legendary blues-rock band opens the series with hits like Tuff Enuff and Wrap It Up. Food trucks: Curry in a Hurry, The Locals Rollin’ Eatery

April 17: Journeyman: An Eric Clapton Tribute – Performing Clapton classics including Layla and Wonderful Tonight. Food trucks: Spork, Raman Filipino

April 24: Yacht Rock Revue – A smooth, feel-good set of soft-rock favorites from the 1970s and 1980s. Food trucks: Fuel, Soosh Plus!

May 1: Black Jacket Symphony: Journey’s Escape – A note-for-note recreation of Journey’s Escape album featuring hits like Don’t Stop Believin’ and Open Arms. Food trucks: Curry in a Hurry, The Locals Rollin’ Eatery, Repicci’s Real Italian Ice & Gelato

May 8: Dear Amy: Amy Winehouse Tribute – An emotional tribute to the voice and songs of Amy Winehouse, including Back to Black and Rehab. Food trucks: Spork, Raman Filipino, Dippin’ Dots

May 15: Kickstand Jenny – High-energy rock ‘n’ roll performances from a dynamic regional favorite. Food trucks: Fuel, Soosh Plus!, Repicci’s Real Italian Ice & Gelato

May 22: The Molly Ringwalds – A colorful, energetic throwback to 1980s music, style, and nostalgia. Food trucks: Soosh Plus!, The Locals Rollin’ Eatery, Dippin’ Dots

May 29: Petty Hearts: Tom Petty Tribute – Performing beloved Tom Petty hits like Free Fallin’ and American Girl. Food trucks: Curry in a Hurry, Raman Filipino, Repicci’s Real Italian Ice & Gelato

June 5: A1A – Jimmy Buffett Tribute – Embracing beach vibes and Parrothead spirit with a Buffett-themed concert. Food trucks: Spork, Fuel

June 12: Adrenalize: Music of Def Leppard – Rock anthems from Def Leppard close the season with hits such as Pour Some Sugar on Me and Love Bites. Food trucks: The Locals Rollin’ Eatery, Soosh Plus!, Dippin’ Dots

This year, Wine World’s Cheese Shop in Destin is offering gourmet cheese trays for concertgoers. Medium trays are $59.99 plus tax and include four cheeses and four salamis. Large trays are $99.99 plus tax and include five cheeses and five salamis.

Orders must be confirmed by 3 p.m. the day before each concert by calling (850) 269-2902. Last-minute availability may be possible by calling before noon on Thursdays.

Concertgoers can also enter to win raffle prizes from local businesses, with winners drawn at intermission or after each concert. Tickets can be purchased on-site with cash or card.

General admission tickets are $35 per person, plus ticketing fees. A $5 discount is available for advance online purchases at MKAF.org/events. Limited VIP tables seating eight are available for individuals or businesses by calling Deb Nissley at (850) 650-2226.

Proceeds from the series benefit the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation’s ArtsReach initiatives, which serve K–12 students, individuals with special needs, and active-duty military and veterans.
