NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Niceville-Valparaiso Community Christmas Parade is set for Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10 a.m., promising a festive celebration filled with holiday magic and community spirit.
This year’s theme, “The Magic of Christmas,” invites participants to dazzle spectators with creative floats, marching bands, and festive displays.
Organized by the Niceville-Valparaiso Rotary Club, the parade supports the Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive and other local charitable initiatives, including the Sharing and Caring program.
The Grand Marshall for the 2024 Christmas Parade is Sheila Bishop, Niceville Public Library Director.
The procession, a culmination of civic and youth groups, organizations, churches, businesses, and individuals, winds its way along John Sims Parkway and Partin Drive. Thousands of onlookers eagerly await the parade to collect candy and other goodies while reveling in the joyous sights and sounds of Christmas.
The parade route will begin at the intersection of Palm Boulevard and John Sims Parkway, proceeding along Partin Drive and ending near Ruckel Middle School, where the judging stand will be located.
Awards will be presented in several categories, including the Grand Marshal Award, President’s Choice Award, and Best Marching/Performing Unit.
Santa Claus will make his highly anticipated appearance, delighting children and families. Parade attendees are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots drive, helping brighten the holiday season for children in need.
