NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health reports this morning the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County is 4,410, 28 more since yesterday morning. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Niceville and Valparaiso is 588.
Statewide, 1,838 new cases were reported since yesterday.
The number of cumulative hospitalizations related to coronavirus in Okaloosa is 264, no change. On Friday, there were 28 COVID-19 patients in Okaloosa County hospitals; eight in ICU beds.
Yesterday, according to the state DOH, there were 435 tests returned in Okaloosa with 27 positives. The daily positivity rate was 6.21 percent. The testing numbers posted by the state have been the same for three consecutive days.

Okaloosa’s weekly positivity rate was 7.33 percent for the week ending Saturday, Sept. 5, down from 7.63 percent from the previous week.
