Field of Valor- Niceville, Fla

Exchange Club of Niceville will host the second annual “Field of Valor” at the City of Niceville Mullet Festival grounds on September 11 through September 19, 2015.

The Field of Valor will pay tribute to all fallen heroes (since 9/11/01) from the State of Florida, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and paid the ultimate price in our continued war on terrorism. The 348 large American flags, posted atop 8 ft. poles, will be displayed in perfect rows and columns in the grassy field at the north end of the Mullet Festival grounds. Each flag will bear the name of the serviceman or woman who gave their life in the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. The flags will be arranged alphabetically by last name. Attendees and visitors will be able to pay their respects and honor these heroes from the State of Florida.

How can you get involved? Individuals, clubs or businesses can become event sponsors or flag sponsors. Fifty per cent of funds raised will benefit the Eglin AFB Fisher House. We are also looking for volunteers to assist us in putting on the event.

Event will run from September 11-19. Opening day ceremony with be on Sept 12 (Saturday) at 10 a.m.

For any questions or additional information on this event, call Paul McShane at (850) 678-8680 or email the club at nicevilleexchange@gmail.com

All gave some, some gave all. God Bless You and God Bless America.
