Here’s how you can help: just drop-off new coats or cleaned, gently used coats from now ‘til December 5 at Cadycakes Bakery in Niceville or Eglin Federal Credit Union in Bluewater Bay.

Cold weather is certain to arrive soon but you still have time to share the warmth with an underprivileged child by taking part in the United Way’s annual community coat drive, “Coats for Kids at Christmas.”

Here’s how you can help: just drop-off new coats or cleaned, gently used coats from now ‘til December 5 at Cadycakes Bakery in Niceville or Eglin Federal Credit Union in Bluewater Bay.

In 2016, United Way distributed over 2,000 coats to many families throughout the community and schools in Okaloosa & Walton counties.

Each year Volunteers pick-up and deliver donated coats to Bangkok Cleaners or Destin Cleaners for cleaning.  Participating United Way Agencies distribute the coats to children who are in need of a coat, at no cost to the family.

Please note:  Although all donations are appreciated, the United Way can ONLY accept coats and no other used clothing.

For more information, please contact the United Way at 243-0315; carolyn@united-way.org; or   www.United-Way.org.
