April 22 COVID-19 cases update for Okaloosa, Niceville

The Florida Department of Health reports this morning the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County is 135, one more since Tuesday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remains at 18.

NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health reports this morning the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County is 135, one more since Tuesday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remains at 18.

The number of confirmed cases involving residents or staff at long-care nursing facilities is 25, no change over the past 24 hours.

The number of hospitalizations in Okaloosa is 23, no change in the past 24 hours.

The number of deaths in Okaloosa County remains unchanged at three.

To date, 1,771 tests have been performed in Okaloosa County.

Here’s the latest breakdown by city in Okaloosa (note that the city is not always reported as part of the initial notification and may be missing while the case is being investigated):

  • Fort Walton Beach, 51, no change
  • Destin, 27, no change
  • Niceville, 18, no change
  • Crestview, 16, one more since Tuesday morning
