Flights will be operated on the American’s newest 76-seat, dual class configured EMB-175 regional jet. This new route is expected to serve over 47,150 passengers annually connecting our region to the nation’s capital.
Eglin Air Force Base – American Airlines will begin its daily, non-stop service from the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) to Washington, D.C.’s Reagan National Airport (DCA) on May 4, 2018.
Flights will be operated on the American’s newest 76-seat, dual class configured EMB-175 regional jet. This new route is expected to serve over 47,150 passengers annually connecting our region to the nation’s capital. The service will depart Washington DC at 8:45 AM, arrive at VPS at 10:07 AM, depart VPS on its return trip at 11:05 AM, arriving DCA at 2:19 PM.
“This is a long sought after flight as we have so many military personnel and contractors who have a need to travel to the Washington DC area on a daily basis. It is also welcomed by those who wish to visit and enjoy the beauty of our Nation’s Capital,” said Commissioner and Board appointee to the County Aviation Board, Carolyn Ketchel.
