The 2014 July Fourth Duathlon hosted by the City of Valparaiso will be held July 4, 2013, beginning at 7 a.m., at Lincoln Park. Participants should assemble at 6:45 a.m.
The annual event features a 5K run along the shoreline of Boggy Bayou followed by a 200 meter swim in the bayou, as well as a 5K walk (no swimming). Walkers begin shortly after the runners.
Registration cost is $20; after June 27 the cost is $25. The registration fee includes a t-shirt.
Registration forms can be picked up at Valparaiso City Hall, 465 Valparaiso Parkway.
