The Walton Guard Civil War re-enactors portray a living history of Christmas, 1861 at Yule of Yesteryear.
Yule of Yesteryear – A Traditional Holiday Festival, is coming to Valparaiso on Saturday, December 9, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida is the site of this festive annual Christmas event based on the history of our area.
The Spirit of Christmas will fill the air with musical performances from local choirs and musicians. The Walton Guard Civil War re-enactors will portray a living history of Christmas, 1861.
The Museum will be open with free admission all day where you will discover the rich history of Northwest Florida. There are exhibits about Native Americans and pioneers, as well as early industries such as, fishing, boat building, turpentine and the Museum’s newest exhibit, “Hair Raising History.”
Kids will play and learn in the “Discovery Room” while everyone will enjoy “Paradise Gardens.”
There will be historic craft demonstrations, ornament making for children, a holiday bake sale, and free picture taking with Santa Claus.
Feast on fabulous favorites from food vendors, shop for unique one-of-a-kind gifts from talented art & craft vendors and find affordable stocking stuffers in the Museum’s Gift Shop.
