WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin work in April to mill and resurface a 6.6-mile segment of U.S. 98, from East of Village Road to East of U.S. 331 in Walton County, among other improvements.
The FDOT says it anticipates completing the $10.5 million project in early 2023.
The FDOT reports the project also includes the following improvements:
Access to businesses and other private properties will be maintained at all times, according to the FDOT.
Bicycle and pedestrian routes will also be maintained.
Lane closures will be limited to overnight hours from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. There will be no lane closures or other traffic impacts permitted during holidays and special events, the FDOT said.
