Twin Cities Donut Shop is set to open in its new location in Valparaiso on Saturday morning, February 10. Doors open at 5:30 a.m.
The popular donut maker, which for decades occupied the iconic white and orange striped building on John Sims Parkway in Niceville, is opening in the small shopping plaza just outside of Eglin’s East Gate, at 481 S John Sims Pkwy, the former location of the East Gate Café.
“Latest update on the shop. WE WILL OPEN ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10. Can’t wait to see everyone then. Please share so we can get the word around,” read a post on Twin Cities Donut Shop’s Facebook page on Wednesday morning.
We’re told nothing has changed but the location.
Twin Cities Donuts in Valparaiso will be open Tuesday-Sunday, 5:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Want to go during the week before work and avoid some of the traffic at the gate? Take the back way: Old State Highway 10, also known as the Old East Gate Road. It is located about four-tenths of a mile past Tom’s Bayou Bridge on the right when you are driving toward the East Gate. Take the right on to Old State Highway 10, continue to Louisiana Ave., make a left to the shopping center. See the map below.
Twin Cities Donut Shop closed its Niceville location at the end of December last year because the property is being developed as a shopping center and hotel complex.
