Traffic advisory, state roads, Bay County, Florida (Florida Department of Transportation)
BAY COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Bay and Jackson counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
State Road (S.R.) 390 Widening from Jenks Avenue to S.R. 77
Kentucky Avenue is closed at S.R. 390. Pedestrian traffic along S.R. 77 (Ohio Avenue) is shifted to the west side of the roadway, between 12th Street and the S.R. 390 intersection.
S.R. 390 Widening from 23rd Street to Baldwin Road
Traffic between Lisenby Avenue and Jackson Way will be shifted to the new travel lanes beginning Tuesday, April 12 at 8:30 p.m. Work is scheduled to conclude by Wednesday, April 13 at 6 a.m. Traffic flaggers and law enforcement personnel will be on-site to direct drivers through the work zone.
U.S. 98 (Beach Drive) Resurfacing from 15th Street to West of Harrison Avenue
Drivers will encounter intermittent lane closures on Beach Drive from Balboa Avenue to 6th Street from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, April 11 to Thursday, April 14 for paving operations. In addition, from 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Apr. 10 through Friday, Apr. 15 there will be intermittent lane restrictions on Beck Avenue from 15th Street to 10th Street for sidewalk and curb work.
U.S. 98/TAFB Flyover
U.S. 98 westbound traffic, from Louisiana Avenue to Tyndall Drive — Airey Avenue, will be shifted slightly north next week so construction can continue on the elevated travel lanes. No oversized permit loads will be allowed while the lane shift is in place.
U.S. 20 Resurfacing from S.R. 77 to U.S. 231
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures at Blue Springs Road the week of Monday, April 11 for paving operations.
U.S. 231 Resurfacing from Bay County Line to Pike Pond Road
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 15 for paving operations.
U.S. 90 Routine Bridge Inspection over Chipola River
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures, 0.6 miles east of S.R. 73/S.R.167, Wednesday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection.
All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when traveling through the construction area.
