With the holidays on the horizon, it’s time for Emerald Coast Toys for Tots to ramp up its efforts.
The mission of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens.
“Toys for Tots doesn’t just provide toys, we provide hope. I believe that we can truly inspire a child with something as simple and positive as waking up Christmas morning with something under the tree. That’s why we work as hard as we do!” said Ashley Botelho, Emerald Coast Toys for Tots coordinator.
“It is not possible to make this happen without the help of many. We have a Task force of ten, but we need ten times that, in order to provide for 10-thousand!”
Hundreds of volunteer hours need to be filled to ensure the program will run smoothly this year. The organization is asking for help from anyone that would like to help kids or from any group that needs volunteer hours.
There are numerous ways to volunteer and many different positions that need to be filled. Please email emeraldcoasttoysfortots@gmail.com to learn how you can get involved.
