St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niceville seeks organist

St. Paul Lutheran Church is currently searching for a part-time organist who will lead the congregation at weekly services and other special services in accordance with the principles of the Lutheran tradition, using both traditional and contemporary music.

As residents of a “military town” our congregation has seen families come and go over the years at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niceville. While it is sad to say goodbye to those leaving, it is a joy to open our hearts to someone new.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is currently searching for a part-time organist who will lead the congregation at weekly services and other special services in accordance with the principles of the Lutheran tradition, using both traditional and contemporary music.

Playing hymns to accompany the congregational singing is an art form. Hymn playing is an important part of our worship, as Luther regarded music as the second voice of the Gospel.

An organist at St. Paul should be open to integrating our suggestions of hymnology with personal style and philosophy in playing.
