The community is invited to honor loved ones lost to cancer by releasing sky lanterns during the A Miracle for Ava Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation fundraiser on Saturday, October 10, 7 p.m., at Niceville High School. Funds raised will be used for research to help local children battling cancer.
The cost is $15 per lantern.
A Miracle for Ava Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is named for Ava Gioe, who was taken at the age of five years after a 20 month battle with brain cancer.
For more information, visit www.miracleforava.info or call Gianni Gioe at 570-677-0292.
