Bayshore Drive in Niceville is now closed to thru traffic between Edge Avenue and State Road 20 to allow for work on sewer lines in the area. Detours are available for residents and businesses within the closed area.
The section of Bayshore Drive is expected to remained closed for four months or longer. There will be some limited access to the roadway on weekends during this period but motorists are encouraged to avoid the area altogether if possible.
The sewer work is part of the North Bayshore Drive Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Project. Residents and businesses in the area were recently notified of the road closing by letter.
