Science Teachers REFUEL at Camp
Niceville, FLA — Science teachers from Niceville public schools were among the 70+ grade 3-5 Okaloosa County science teachers attending the recently held REFUEL Camp. Teachers attending the camp learned hands-on, standard-based activities to engage students in science.
Teachers completed lessons, discussed tips to increase science comprehension, and collaborated on resources.
“One of the most valuable parts of the camp was the collaboration time teachers had to make connections with other teachers across the district and learn from each other,” said Science Curriculum Specialist, Tami Ellis.
The School District was able to purchase classroom supplies to support the hands-on activities through a state grant.
