NICEVILLE, Fla. – Work is complete on a 17-month-long project to improve a large segment of John Sims Parkway in Niceville.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), it has completed milling and resurfacing a three-mile segment of John Sims Parkway (State Road 20) from Edge Avenue to the west of the Rocky Bayou Bridge. The project began in February 2022, focusing on increasing safety and mobility for this vital east-west route.
Additional improvements include turn lane widening and lengthening at key intersections, sidewalk construction and improvements, and new signage and pavement markings, the FDOT said.
