July Fourth has come and gone but the fundraising for future shows never ends. One way local residents can help support the effort is by contributing a recipe for a cookbook to be published by the Boggy Bayou Fireworks Committee. Fireworks organizers hope to raise cash for future fireworks shows though cookbook sales.
If your recipe is selected, your name will be printed in the cookbook with your recipe. Submit multiple recipes if you like. As a bonus, if you send in a recipe, you will receive City Manager Lannie Corbin’s family hushpuppy recipe in return. The deadline for entries is July 31.
The cookbooks will be professionally designed and produced by G&R Publishing in Waverly, Iowa.
