Props Ale House grand opening is Saturday

Props Ale House has more than a dozen house-brewed beers on tap. Its menu includes a wide array of starters, soups and salads, sandwiches and wraps, burgers, and entrees such as fish & chips, fish tacos, and bratwurst.

Props Ale House and Sports Bar in Niceville is holding its grand opening on Saturday, July 28. The event will feature live music, cornhole, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, along with food and drink specials.

The newest member of the popular Props Craft Brewery operation, a small-scale microbrewery, Props Ale House is in the Oak Creek Shopping Center where Helen Back used to be. Saturday’s grand opening is 2 p.m. to close.

The Niceville location has 28 televisions; murals painted on the walls by local artists, a 2,000 square-foot outdoor patio with a pagoda-style outside bar, numerous games— and plenty of locally-brewed beer and food to go with it.

Veteran owned and operated, Props Craft Brewery was founded by two pilots with a passion for brewing beer. When Michael Kee and Nathan Vannatter began turning their passion into a profession, they collaborated with friends Brian O’Neill and Travis Peterson. Together, they have a combined 63 years of service in the United States Air Force.

The original Props brew pub opened in 2011. In 2016, a large-scale brewery was opened to support the growing distribution needs as Props expanded further down the Emerald Coast and into Alabama.

In addition to its new Niceville Ale House, Props has two locations in Fort Walton Beach: Props Brewery and Tap Room on Lovejoy Road, and Props Brewery and Grill on Miracle Strip Parkway.
