Pinfish Grand Nationals Set
The 2019 Bluewater Bay Marina Pinfish Grand Nationals will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, 10 a.m., at the Bluewater Bay Marina Complex.
The one-hour-long fishing tournament inside Ward Cove (Bluewater Bay Marina) features two-person teams consisting of one member 16 years or older and another member age 15 or younger.
Now in its 8th year, the fun and popular Pinfish Grand Nationals has both young anglers and anglers who are young at heart competing for prizes by catching pinfish using a fishing pole. The aggregate weight of 10 fish determines the winner.
The cost to participate is $25 per team through August 2. The cost is $30 per team for late registration (morning of the tournament). Early registration is encouraged to secure a t-shirt for junior anglers. Early package pickup is Friday, Aug. 2, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., at LJ Schooners Dockside Restaurant (in the lobby).
Awards will be given for first-, second-, and third-place finishers. Also, the Abram Sitcer Big Fish Award will be presented. Goody bags will be given to all registered teams and Junior Fishermen receive a tournament t-shirt.
An anglers meeting will be held at 9:45 a.m. before the tournament.
Bluewater Bay Marina will be donating portions of the proceeds to Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance and the Ronald McDonald House.
