DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. — The 2022 Oktoberfest is set for October 1 in DeFuniak Springs.

Main Street DeFuniak Springs will host its 2022 Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Historic Downtown DeFuniak Springs. The event, held outdoors on Baldwin Avenue between S. 7th and S. 8th streets, will feature craft and domestic beer, food, music, axe throwing, and activities for kids and families, Main Street DeFuniak Springs has announced.

According to Main Street DeFuniak Springs, the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest will feature seasonal beer styles from local and regional craft breweries, as well as domestic options and wine. Traditional German fare will include bratwurst and pretzels, along with other savory and sweet dining options.

Family fun and games include face painting and glitter tattoos, bounce houses and inflatable interactives, corn hole games and more.

New this year, the event will include a stein hoisting competition for adults with prizes. Auf Wiedersehen Baby will provide authentic live German music for guests to enjoy.

“Through our programming and special events, we aim to improve the quality of life in DeFuniak Springs,” said Chelsea Blaich, Executive Director of Main Street DeFuniak Springs.

“By offering activities on a regular basis for people in the community and our guests that come into the city, we support our organization’s mission of providing economic vitality to the downtown business district.”

Tickets are required for entry into the event. Tickets are available at https://mainstreetdfs.org/Oktoberfest/. Guests must be 21 or older to drink. Proof of valid driver’s license is required.

Kids 12 and under can attend for free.

Ticket Prices for the 2022 Oktoberfest in DeFuniak Springs

  • General Admission/Non-Alcohol Attendee: Free entry to event, no free activities. No wristband. Cost: FREE
  • Non-Alcohol Attendee, Children Under 12, Free Activities: Free entry to event, plus free activities. Cost: $10
  • Sampler, Free Activities: Entrance into event, sampling cup, unlimited samples, plus free activities (adults age 21 and older. ID checked upon entry) Cost: $25
  • Stadium Cup, Sampler, Free Activities: Entrance into event, stadium cup for full pours, sampling cup, unlimited samples, plus free activities (adults age 21 and older. ID checked upon entry) Cost: $30

Event attendees are encouraged to bring a designated driver.

Shuttle service to and from the event will be provided by Visit South Walton shuttle service. Taxi service will be available.
