Highlights of Okaloosa’s performance include top six rankings in 5th, 7th, and 8th-grade reading, 7th and 8th-grade mathematics, and 8th-grade science. Additionally, middle school students ranked 3rd in math, 4th in science, and 6th in ELA.

OCSD Superintendent of Schools Marcus Chambers praised the dedication of students, teachers, and staff.

“Our students and schools have overcome obstacles, met challenges head-on, and persevered to achieve academic success, and for that, I am extremely proud,” said Mr Chambers.

Consistently ranking as one of the top school districts in the state is a source of pride for our schools and our community. With that said, there is work to be done, and plans are already in place to address areas where room for improvement exists at the school and district levels.”

School grades based on these results will be released in August. For more details, visit the Florida Department of Education website.
