COVID-19 on the Rise in Okaloosa, Niceville
NICEVILLE, FLA — The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County and the Niceville community continues to grow. As of this morning, there are 21 confirmed cases in Okaloosa County. Six confirmed cases are in Niceville as of yesterday at 5 p.m.
The data for Niceville and other cities will be updated today at 5 p.m. The number of Niceville cases increased from five to six, a 20 percent increase, over the last 24-hour reporting period.
The number of confirmed cases in Okaloosa rose from 18 to 21 overnight, about a 16 percent increase. The range of ages of confirmed individuals in Okaloosa is 24 to 83. The average age is 42. Seven men; 14 women.
The total cases confirmed statewide is 2,355, with 2,235 residents and 120 non-residents. The number of confirmed cases increased by 378 overnight, more than a 19 percent increase. Twenty-eight people have died from COVID-19 in Florida.
