The Kiwanis of Niceville-Valparaiso donated their time and hard work during a recent workday at Children in Crisis.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Niceville-Valparaiso donated their time, talents and hard work during a recent workday to help make The Children in Crisis Neighborhood look great.
Over 50 volunteers pitched in including Kiwanis Club members, military members, and a large group from the faith community.
Volunteers pressure washed all the driveways, completed normal yard maintenance, built a ramp for a new utility building, and took on a variety of other tasks.
Several times each year the Niceville Kiwanis sponsors a work day at CIC on Saturday mornings. Their efforts help to ensure that CIC is able to continue to provide the best homes possible for the at-risk children living at the CIC Neighborhood.
“The Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club has a very dedicated membership that’s always ready and willing to support a worthy cause,” said Ken Hair, CIC President & CEO. “It’s all about the kids.”
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Their mission is serving the children of the world, which by all accounts is a very rewarding experience.
Children in Crisis, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non-profit charity of caring people working together to provide homes and establish hope to the abused, neglected, and abandoned children of our community.
