NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Niceville High School Chorus is sponsoring a Girl’s Day of Singing that will feature a children’s book drive and free concert, the chorus has announced.
The Girl’s Day of Singing is on Friday, February 10, 2023. Students from Niceville High School (NHS), Ruckel Middle School and Lewis School will present a concert at 1:15 p.m. in the NHS auditorium that is free and open to the public.
Dr. Morgan Luttig of the University of Alabama will be the guest clinician for the day. The music will feature songs inspired by children’s storybook texts, the chorus said.
In conjunction with the concert, the chorus is holding a children’s book drive benefitting the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, CALM House, and Plew Elementary School.
Donations of both new and used children’s books are now being accepted. You can view the event’s Amazon wish list for suggested titles that correlate with the music being presented. Feel free to donate a book of your choice.
