New COVID-19 cases continue to drop in Okaloosa schools

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — The number of new COVID-19 cases among students and staff fell for the second consecutive week in Okaloosa County public schools.

There were 347 new COVID-19 cases reported in the week ending February 4, down from 426  new cases during the previous seven-day period, according to the Okaloosa County School District’s COVID-19 dashboard.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the overall positivity rate among students is 12.1 percent, according to the OCSD.
