Main Street DeFuniak Springs hosts “Merry Main Street”

DeFuniak Springs, Fla — Main Street DeFuniak Springs has announced its “Merry Main Street” schedule of events to begin on Small Business Saturday, November 28, 2020.

Taking place every Saturday before Christmas in Historic Downtown DeFuniak Springs, events include in-store specials, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, photo opportunities with The Character Clubhouse, rides on the Choctaw Express Train, and live holiday performances by local groups.

For the support of its community and putting small businesses first, Main Street DeFuniak Springs has been designated a Neighborhood Champion by American Express. Kicking off on November 28 with Small Business Saturday, Shop Small® is a national movement encouraging customers to patronize locally owned and operated independent businesses.

In-store specials begin at participating merchants including Enforcement Firearms, Fisher’s Pharmacy & Gifts, Katie Beth’s Boutique & Spa, Nook & Cranny Consignment, Soiree, and Vault 46 as early as 10 a.m. Seasonal holiday hours are unique from business to business.

Main Street’s Mistletoe Market on November 28 will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. outdoors on Baldwin Avenue between S. 7th and S. 8th St. Artisans will be selling a host of gift ideas, delicious treats, and unique finds perfect for this holiday season. Taking place in tandem with the Small Business Saturday and the Mistletoe Market on November 28, families and friends are invited to enjoy rides along Baldwin Avenue on the Choctaw Express from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., kids crafts on the UniquelyClever Art Bus from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., photo opportunities with Elsa, Anna & Olaf in The Character Clubhouse from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., a special dance performance by Absolute Dance Center at 2: p.m., visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Christmas Carolers from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Santa and one lucky child will turn on the town at 5 p.m. to kick off the season of Christmas Reflections around Lake DeFuniak.
