DeFuniak Springs, Fla. — Main Street DeFuniak Springs and the City of DeFuniak Springs have partnered to honor past and present servicemen and women through their Veteran’s Banner Program where pictures of veterans will be displayed on banners placed on downtown lampposts during the month of November.
Up to 20 veterans will be displayed on one of 10 lamp posts between S. 5th St. and S. 10th St. along Baldwin Avenue in DeFuniak Springs.
To qualify for the Veteran’s Banner Program, the following criteria must be met:
The application process is underway and continues until 4 p.m. on September 30, 2021.
The cost to participate is $55.
In addition to the application, a photograph of the nominee in uniform (5X7 or larger or digital image of resolution 300 dpi or greater) is required.

The deadline for application material is September 30, 2021, at 4 p.m. If approved, applicants will be invoiced for payment of the banner.
