Local law enforcement leaders graduate from Florida Leadership Academy

FLORIDA — The Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute (FCJEI) has announced the graduation of local law enforcement leaders from Okaloosa, Walton, and Santa Rosa counties as part of the Florida Leadership Academy, Class 57.

According to the FCJEI, these dedicated individuals are among 44 first-line supervisors who completed the program, which prepares them for enhanced leadership roles within their agencies.

Local graduates include:

Brandon Coone, Walton County Sheriff’s Office

Stephen Pate, Walton County Sheriff’s Office

Bo Nix, Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office

Bob Thacker, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office

These graduates attended four week-long sessions at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Training Facility in Titusville, where they learned vital skills to support their agencies and communities while preparing for future challenges.

The FCJEI, established in 1990 and housed within the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, provides innovative training and education for criminal justice professionals across the state.
