NICEVILLE, Fla. — Land is being cleared adjacent to the intersection of John Sims Parkway and State Road 85 South (Government Avenue) in Niceville, reportedly for the construction of a new hotel.
In April, Carl Scott, City of Niceville Building Official, said a new 83-room Home2 Suites by Hilton would be constructed on the property. It was originally reported by GettheCoast.com.
There has been no formal public announcement.
According to the Okaloosa County Property Appraiser’s website, the land being cleared includes two parcels totaling 2.21 acres. It was purchased in 2021 by PCS Hotels LLC of Fort Walton Beach, according to the property appraiser.
The address of the new hotel is 792 John Parkway, Niceville.
