Kiwanis of Niceville-Valparaiso Help Children in Crisis

Members of the Kiwanis Club of Niceville-Valparaiso donated their time, talents and hard work during a recent workday, called “Kiwanis One Day”, to help make The Children in Crisis Neighborhood look great. The work group included about 15 Kiwanis members and 35 military members from the Detachment 3, Hurlburt Field Tactical Air Control Party training school, led by 2nd Lt. Caleb Ingels of Austin Texas.  The volunteers pressure washed all the homes, completed normal grounds maintenance and a variety of other tasks.

Several times each year the Niceville Kiwanis sponsors a work day on Saturday mornings.  Their efforts help to ensure that CIC is able to continue to provide the best homes possible for the at-risk children of our community.

Ken Hair, CIC President & CEO commented, “The Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club has a wonderful membership that’s always ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and support a worthy cause… It’s all about the kids!”

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.  Their mission is serving the children of the world, which by all accounts is a very rewarding experience.

Children in Crisis, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non-profit  charity of caring people working together to provide homes and establish hope to the abused, neglected, and abandoned children of our community.  To learn more about Children in Crisis call 850-864-4242 or visit www.childrenincrisisfl.org.
