July 4 COVID-19 cases update for Okaloosa, Niceville

NICEVILLE, FLA, JULY 4, 2020 — The Florida Department of Health reports this morning the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County is 880, 60 more since yesterday morning. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Niceville and Valparaiso is 78, an increase of 75 percent over the past two weeks.

NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health reports this morning the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County is 880, 60 more since yesterday morning. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Niceville and Valparaiso is 78, an increase of 75 percent over the past two weeks.

Statewide, the number of cases is 190,052 an increase of 11,458 since yesterday morning, the highest number of new cases recorded in a single day in Florida.

The number of cumulative resident hospitalizations related to coronavirus in Okaloosa is 64, no change. As of yesterday, there were 19 people with COVID-19 in Okaloosa hospitals: 13 in ICU beds. There are 12 open ICU beds remaining in Okaloosa County.

The number of deaths in Okaloosa County is eight, no change since yesterday. Okaloosa has recorded two deaths this week.

  • Holt, 4, no change
  • Valparaiso, 6, one more since yesterday
  • Missing, 19, three more since yesterday

Florida does not publish data about deaths for persons under 18. Florida also does not publish testing, case or condition data for people in county/local jails, state prisons, migrant communities, or cumulative totals for testing and cases in long-term care facilities, probable cases and deaths before testing was available, or non-resident data at the zip code or city level
