Jerry Williams honored as Eglin Federal Credit Union President Emeritus

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Jerry Williams, who retired as President/CEO of Eglin Federal Credit Union on January 3, 2025, has been honored by the board of directors with the title of President Emeritus, effective January 6, 2025.

The title recognizes Mr Williams’ exemplary service and leadership over the past decade, during which the Credit Union experienced significant growth and strengthened its impact on the community.

Board Chair Dan McInnis commended Williams’ contributions, saying that the board deeply values his leadership.

“As he enters retirement, we are pleased to officially honor him with the title of President Emeritus. We are grateful for his dedication, years of service, and the positive impact he has made within the Credit Union and also in the communities where we serve,” said Mr McInnis.

Mr Williams expressed his gratitude and said he was deeply honored to be named President Emeritus.

“My time at Eglin Federal Credit Union has been incredibly fulfilling, and I look forward to continuing to be an ambassador for Eglin Federal Credit Union during my retirement.”

Under Williams’ leadership, Eglin Federal Credit Union’s assets grew by over $1 billion to nearly $2.9 billion, with membership reaching 124,000 worldwide. He is recognized for his active involvement in area chambers of commerce, economic development councils, and nonprofit organizations.

Mr Williams also served as an Honorary Commander at the 24th Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field, and as a civic leader with the 33rd Fighter Wing, Air Education and Training Command. For his extensive support of local military installations, he received the General Lewis H. Brereton Award from the Air Force Association Hurlburt Chapter.
