Rocky Bayou Christian School has announced that it’s inaugural Blue & White Gala raised $55,000 for The RBCS Fund. The sold-out event on February 21, 2019, at The Henderson Beach Resort featured speaker Mike Huckabee.
The evening began with a VIP reception in the Destin Room at The Henderson. Guests enjoyed a meet & greet with Huckabee featuring a photo op courtesy of Land Air Sea Productions. The VIP hour ended with a question & answer session with Huckabee.
The main event in the Crystal Ballroom featured an upscale buffet while guests enjoyed music by local violinist Laura Hartz, accompanied by Santos Gomez, followed by the keynote address from Huckabee. He spoke about the importance of raising Christian children and leaders during this elegant night out. Huckabee then treated guests to special musical performance accompanied by local musicians Nate Kelly, Aaron Wolfe, and Kevin White.
Funds raised benefit The RBCS Fund. The RBCS Fund is an annual fund designed to allow for major school improvement projects. Tuition dollars are designated specifically to meet daily, operational costs. The annual fund is utilized for projects designated by Rocky’s Board of Directors. The most notable projects completed for the 2017-2018 fund are paving the perimeter road and additional security measures added to building entrances. One of the primary goals of this year’s fund is to continue to improve campus safety.
