Sampling of the waters in the area have resulted in bacterial levels below the advisory level.

A health advisory was issued on Sept. 16 due to wastewater releases in both Boggy Bayou and Snapper Cove within Cinco Bayou. The health advisory for Snapper Cove was lifted on Sept. 22.

For more information about the potential health effects of wastewater overflow, residents and visitors are encouraged to contact DOH-Okaloosa at (850) 833-9247 or visit www.HealthyOkaloosa.com.
