NICEVILLE, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) has lifted a health advisory for Boggy Bayou to include both Lions Park in Niceville and Lincoln Park in Valparaiso.
Sampling of the waters in the area have resulted in bacterial levels below the advisory level.
A health advisory was issued on Sept. 16 due to wastewater releases in both Boggy Bayou and Snapper Cove within Cinco Bayou. The health advisory for Snapper Cove was lifted on Sept. 22.
