Students from the LECOM School of Dental Medicine will participate in Give Kids a Smile program on Feb. 4, 2017, by offering free dental exams to children ages 2 to 18.
The exams will take place at the LECOM Dental Offices in DeFuniak Springs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Appointments are preferred. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. LECOM is located at 101 LECOM Way.
Services will include (as needed) dental exam and oral hygiene education, dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
Through the ADA Foundation’s Give Kids A Smile program, launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003, more than 5.5 million underserved children have received free oral health services. These free services are provided by volunteers including approximately 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.
Call (850) 951-0200 to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome and will be seen on a fist come, first served basis.
