FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla — Destin Harvest is hosting a free food giveaway on Saturday, March 6 at the Northwest Florida Fairgrounds, 1958 Lewis Turner Blvd. The event begins at 9 a.m. and continues until supplies run out.
The first-come, first-served food giveaway is open to anyone in need of food, according to an announcement by Destin Harvest.
Each vehicle will receive a single, 30-pound box of food containing meat, dairy, produce, and other items.
Motorists are asked to remain in their vehicles during the drive-thru, no-contact event.
The March 6 food distribution is made possible by Destin Harvest, Farm Share, Northwest Florida Fairgrounds, Harbor Docks, United Way, and FWB Police Department.
