FDLE agents arrested Archer on September 21. He was employed with the Palm Bay Police Department at the time of the alleged crime, the FDLE said.
According to the FDLE, an investigation began on Sept. 18 when the FDLE was contacted by the Palm Bay Police Department after they learned of the allegations.
Agents said they found that Archer contacted the teenager through a social media app and he reportedly met the victim for sex on two separate occasions, each time while he was on duty, the FDLE said.
