NICEVILLE, Fla. — Five people were arrested after the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) executed a narcotics search warrant early Monday morning at a home near Niceville.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team members deployed two non-lethal flash-bang devices outside the home at 919 47th Street after no one on the property would respond to the law enforcement presence, the OCSO said in a press release.
The OCSO said the home has been the subject of complaints and is associated with narcotics overdoses, including an overdose-related death.
Four people were ultimately taken into custody for reportedly resisting an officer.
According to the OCSO, resident Patrick Mulcahy was found to have methamphetamine and a rolled-up dollar bill containing meth residue in his possession.
Mulcahy is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
