Field of Valor in Niceville
The Field of Valor will remain open from 12 noon – 8 p.m. on Sept 9 and remain open these hours through Friday, Sept 14. Saturday, Sept.15 the hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Field of Valor will display 360 3’ x 5’ flags in perfect columns and rows at the north end of the Mullet Festival Grounds. On each flag a tag will be attached with information on the service member—name, rank, hometown, branch of service, and date of death. The flags are arranged alphabetically and there will be an information table with volunteers available to answer questions and direct visitors around the field.
The opening ceremony will include Honor Guard, speakers representing The Fisher House, our military and civilian community, and a National Exchange Club representative. Our key speaker is U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz. This ceremony officially opens the field to visitors. There is no charge to the public who come to visit our Florida heroes and pay their respects.
Field of Valor chairman is Paul McShane who can be reached at: 850-678-8680, email: rockne@cox.net or nicevilleexchange@gmail.com provide additional information or answer any questions about the Field of Valor.
