FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla — The Emerald Coast Exchange Club of Fort Walton Beach continued its great support to Children in Crisis by presenting a $1,000 donation to help feed, clothe and care for the children living at the CIC Children’s Neighborhood.
After the check presentation, club members volunteered their Saturday morning to help with the weekly yard maintenance and other needed “To-Dos”.
“We have been blessed with great support from the community to build the Children’s Neighborhood. Now we must find the necessary funding to feed, clothe and care for the kids while sustaining operations into the future,” said Ken Hair, CIC President and CEO.
“Support from the Emerald Coast Exchange Club is a tremendous help in our efforts to give a loving home to the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community.”
The Exchange Club is a national organization that focuses on reinforcing American values, building leaders for tomorrow, and protecting America’s children from harm.
The CIC Children’s Neighborhood is a beautiful facility, built by the generous support of the community. It has an emergency shelter for children who are removed without notice from an unsafe home, five family foster homes for young children and a teen transition home for foster children aging out of care.
