Eglin honorary commanders receive water survival training

Col. Scott Thompson, 96th Operations Group commander, ignites a flare as honorary commanders look on during water survival training at Post’l Point, Sept. 5 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The water survival training offered an interactive environment for community members to better understand what pilots may face in the event of an emergency landing over the sea. The honorary commander program pairs civic leaders and wing leadership together to exchange ideas and educate civilians about Air Force life. (U.S. Air Force photo/Kevin Gaddie)
