The Eagle Pride is returning to the Rose Parade. Niceville High School’s high-impact marching band is set to perform in the 2017 Rose Parade to be held on Jan. 1, 2017 in Pasadena, California.
In a video invitation posted at the school website, an unidentified Rose Parade spokesman, presumably Brad Ratliff, the 2017 Rose Parade President, said he and his colleagues understand the commitment it takes, the dedication, and superior musicianship necessary for a successful music program.
“We like you so much we want you to come visit us,” he said. “You’re coming to the Rose Parade.”
The Eagle Pride last performed in the Rose Parade in 2008. More recently, the band performed in the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, New York.
The band is directed by Dan Wooten.
