The offer by Chef Ernie Danjean was posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page yesterday after learning the annual Boggy Bayou Holiday Boat would not be held this year (see story here).
“Help Chef Ernie save the Niceville Boat Parade,” reads the flyer, which offers a FREE family catfish platter, a pitcher of domestic beer and a pitcher of soda to the skippers of decorated boats.
A spokesman for Dockside said the restaurant was trying to spark interest among boaters to keep the annual tradition going and create greater interest for the return of the Niceville boat parade next year.
The Christmas Dock Party will feature Niceville High School’s Opus One performing all evening beginning at 5:30 PM. Santa Claus will stop by and give candy canes to all the youngsters who attend.
For more information or to register your boat, call 678-1241. Dockside Cafe is at 821 Bayshore Drive in Niceville.
