“Wear Pink Day” is Wednesday, October 1 in Okaloosa County and everyone is encouraged to put on their pink for the day in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – and to display a pink flamingo in their yard during the month.
Beginning October 1, Twin Cities Hospital and Fort Walton Beach Medical Center are honoring the courageous women and men diagnosed or treated for breast cancer at their facilities by displaying 450 pink flamingos during the month of October.
For a $15 donation, you can have one of the flamingos to display in YOUR yard, spreading breast cancer awareness throughout our community. Funds raised support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides against Breast Cancer and Relay for Life.
Stop by Twin Cities Hospital or Fort Walton Beach Medical Center to make your donation and take home your flamingo today!
