Destin rock climbing gym offers program for kids

Designated for younger climbers, Kinder Klimb at Rock Out Climbing Gym utilizes routes designed with a child’s size and strength in mind and incorporates top ropes to help overcome unique challenges.

Beginning September 1, children ages four to six years old are invited to sign up for Rock Out Climbing Gym’s first ever “Kinder Klimb,” a rock climbing event for children.

Designated for younger climbers, Kinder Klimb utilizes routes designed with a child’s size and strength in mind and incorporates top ropes to help overcome unique challenges.  Climbing is proven to help with younger children’s development to include their spatial awareness, motor skills, and problem-solving skills.

Kinder Klimb features Rock Out’s newly installed Top Ropes. Taught by Rock Out Climbing Gym trained instructors, each hour-long session is limited to six spots, giving participants a one on one guided climbing experience.

“We are excited to introduce our Kinder Klimb program for those young climbers who may be intimidated by the height of our walls, or just looking for a little more security while climbing,” said Kenneth Sheyka, owner, Rock Out Climbing Gym.

Sessions: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM OR 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Cost: $20 per child (6 spots Per Session)

Parents interested in signing up their children for Rock Out’s Kinder Klimb program can contact the gym at (850) 837-0526. Sign-ups are recommended but not required. Same day spots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
