COVID-19: Eglin service reductions, closures

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. —– Eglin is in Health Protection Condition Bravo.

Below is the official and most current version of closures, cancellations and hour changes.

The Hospital returned to a single point of entry Nov. 10.  Visitors will need access the Hospital via the Emergency Room entrance.  Masks are required by ALL employees, patients and visitors.

Health screenings for all individuals prior to entering facility. Visitors with flu-like symptoms will not be permitted in the inpatient area

Acute care concerns will continue to be addressed

Routine appointments will be booked in the future as the situation improves

Visitors must check in at the front desk.  Visitors who have traveled internationally are not permitted to visit 14 days after arrival to US.

Only one adult visitor allowed per patient in the following areas:

Pediatric inpatient and outpatient

Labor and post partum mothers

Outpatient and obstetrics patients that require a non-medical escort

Pre/post surgery (including outpatient procedures involving sedation)

Elderly patients and those who require care

End of life patients

Emergency room patients when necessary

Visitors should wash hands and maintain six feet separation

MSU/ICU visiting hours:  7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

OB/GYN

All pregnancy appointments continue.  All other appointment types are cancelled

Pharmacy

Hours:  Mon-Fri 7:15 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Drop off/pick up

Drive-thru:  Mon-Fri 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m. – noon Pick up only

EFMP

The Exceptional Family Medical Program office is closed for walk-in services until further notice.  The staff can be reached via phone at 850-883-9452 during office hours or through the email below.  Documents to be turned in can be done via email or through the drop box outside the office.  Email:  usaf.eafb.96-mdg.mbx.exceptional-family-members-clinic@mail.mil

Expired retiree and dependent IDs after January 1, 2020, are still authorized for continued use through June 30, 2021.  To those affected, it is recommended scheduling a renewal appointment at the earliest availability
